In school with the red cross I was told a CNA is a non-medical job.In Minnesota and many other states,that is a thing of the past.Now with a one day med class ,you will also be working the med cart.Counting meds and giving them.You will also test and give insulan.This was done so cheap corporations could save money by having a low paid CNA do a nurses job and not hiring a $20 nurse.Nursing Homes are usually understaffed and only one person lifts.Try 1 CNA for 30-50 residents.The pay can be as low as min wage to.Not a good business.Take care of your elderly at home and close these awful places.Check CNA forum at indeed.com
