Free CNA Training in Nebraska

cna trainingCNA Training

In order to become employed as a CNA in the state of Nebraska, you must complete the federally required 75 hours worth of state-approved CNA training. At least 16 hours must be devoted to clinical CNA training, where you take what you learned in the classroom and practice it in real life settings. The rest of the hours are used in the classroom, instructing you on how to perform the various skills and procedures required to work as a CNA.

After you complete this CNA training, you must then obtain your state CNA certification. This text consists of two distinct parts, as all state certification tests do: a written test and a skills test. The written test consists of 50 questions, and you must miss no more than six of these questions in order to pass. All of the scenarios presented to you during the skills section of your test must be completed without error, however.

CNA training in Nebraska can cost between a couple of hundred dollars to a thousand dollars. While this is relatively inexpensive when you consider the type of training you will receive, you still may not be able to afford it if you are currently out of work, or you don’t have the extra money required to begin this new career. The cost of your CNA training can be easily offset, though, if you are willing to do a bit of legwork and research to find the free options available to you in Nebraska.
