Reduce Stress

All stress isn’t that bad. In fact, it can push you to do what needs to be done after CNA training. If you aren’t handling it correctly, however, it can zap you of your energy. Stress raises your body temperature and blood pressure, and it interferes with metabolism, fertility, sleep, sexuality, and digestion. It’s no wonder you feel so tired in the middle of the day. The next time you feel yourself becoming stress, take a breath, and use these tips to combat it.

  • Stay in the present. If you’re becoming stressed over a situation that may or may not happen in the future, take a moment to think about whether you actually control its outcome. If not, think about the here and now.
  • Get as much exercise as possible after CNA training. The more you move around, the better your body will be able to make use of oxygen and glucose and the better your circulation will be. This means more energy for you in the middle of the day.
  • Take a break. If you’ve been sitting or standing all day, take a break. Get up and move or sit down and relax. Walk outside for some fresh air if you can.
