Congratulations Debra,
You’re making a big step in the right direction. The offerings of the Red Cross differ from state to state. Your local chapter will direct you as far as the application process goes. If you can’t get in with the Red Cross, check the local nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and living centers for the developmentally disabled. Any of these are great places to start your search for free nurse’s aide training. Many facilities, when in need of dedicated candidates, offer the training for free in exchange for a time commitment from the student / employee. Good luck with your new career!

I need to take this class at American Red Cross for STNA, let me know how to apply for the school. I will be calling my local office come Monday 29,2010. But if all posiable where is the application to apply? Where is the classes offered at? I live in Jackson Center, Oh 45334

Christina: Since that information varies from state to state, your best bet is to call the state licensing for your area.

I got my CNA certification in 1998 work as a CNA and HOME HEALTH privatly since then, my licence expired two year later,now I have a job oportunity and I need a current Lic.
pls. tell me, do I have to go trought the CNA course again to renew my CNA lic.?
